What We Believe

We believe the Bible is God's message of love and hope for all people. The Bible is the written Word of God, passed down to us, pointing us to the truth that we are saved from our sin by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 tells us that, "All Scripture is God breathed...."

God the Father is our maker and creator of all things. He is love and doesn’t want us to be separated from him. That's why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (
John 3:16)

Jesus Christ, born into this world as the perfect bridge between God and humanity. His death on the cross forgives our sins. The Holy Spirit calls us to believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, keeps us in the one true faith, and equips us for living out our faith.

Our faith in Jesus calls us to a life filled with “good works.” These good works are done out of praise and thanks to God, for all he has done for us. It's said that Martin Luther expressed it this way: God doesn't need our good works, but our neighbor does.

We recognize that God has an amazing plan for all of us, a plan of amazing grace. Christ paid the debt for our sin and we receive forgiveness and eternal life. That's why it's called grace because it is truly undeserved.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." (
Ephesians 2:8-9)
